Tata Trusts, one of the oldest philanthropic organisations in India, has been serving the underprivileged in India for the past 125 years. Their focus areas include rural upliftment, water, healthcare, education, urban poverty alleviation, energy and climate change, and arts, crafts and culture. They have implemented around 900 projects across India impacting millions of households.

Tata Trusts is implementing and supporting several clean energy projects, such as solar water pumping solutions, community-based off-grid solar systems, solar home lighting solutions, clean cooking systems, adoption of biogas etc.

Tata Trusts is in partnership with Sunlit Future to install off-grid, self-sustaining solar water pumps in Jharkhand and Odisha. Till 2017, we have provided more than sixty solar powered pumping solutions for Tata Trusts and its partners.

These projects have had a positive impact on the lives of 30,000 people living in some of the most backward areas of the country.
